The Rogue Prince of Persia

Overview

Fun Dead Cells clone (same studio) with plenty of new ideas and more intense platforming.

While the weapon combat feels a little less in focus than in Dead Cells, you have some expanded options like kicking, vaulting, and using the environment to kill your enemies.

Story is pretty thin, which is fine.

Time Investment / Mental Investment

Runs can be anywhere from a few minutes to MUCH longer if you’re really cruising. Great for a half hour before bed.

The first dozen or so runs will cause some mental strain as your muscle memory develops. Once you pass that “point of no return,” you’ll be able to dispatch enemies and thrum about the environment with ease.

Fulfillment

Mainly stems from muscle memory mastery.

The more time you invest, the slicker a player you’ll become. It does feel nice to climb a wall, climb a vine, vault around, kick someone into a spike, unleash a few cool attacks, use your “tool” to shoot someone in the face, vault back to avoid an attack, and realize you just completed a section without really even knowing what was going on. That feeling gets addicting and will keep you coming back.
